A simple, typically British design made by a small company in London. Strangely, the same model can be found designated either model B or C (but not A).
The copper boiler is 1.5" diameter x 3.25". It has a safety valve and steam dome but no water level indication.
Steam is fed from the dome, via a compression fitting to the back of the port face of a single acting oscillating cylinder, 5/16" bore x 3/4" stroke. The crank shaft is a simple bent wire type with a 1.25" diameter brass flywheel; supported in a bent steel sheet frame. The whole is mounted on a raised steel base with Meccano compatible holes along two edges.
As received, there were a few minor problems which were easily fixed. The original meths burner is missing and it has a modified SEL burner.
